In Dagestan, fund for assistance of reforming housing and utilities infrastructure suspends funding resettlement from dilapidated buildings
Following the results of the inspection of capital repairs of apartment houses, performed for the money of the special fund for assistance of reformation of housing and utilities infrastructure held in Dagestan, it was decided to suspend financial support for the programme to move people out of dilapidated buildings. This was reported today by the Foundation.
"The information on completion of construction of houses, terms of completion of relocation of citizens and demolition of dilapidated buildings represented by the republic in the annual report for 2012 does not correspond to the actual situation," a representative of the Foundation told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
In particular, experts have revealed that the relocation programmes of 2011-2012 in the city of Dagestanskie Ogni and the Gunib District were not implemented in due periods. The cause of failure was the inadequate control by the executive bodies of local self-administration and municipal authorities of Dagestan. This was reported by the representative of the Foundation for assistance of reformation of housing and utilities infrastructure.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Foundation for assistance of reformation of housing and utilities infrastructure had already suspended financing for national programmes in February 2013 because of the failure to provide annual reports. Besides, the financing was suspended in the period from July till October 2012 because of detection of the misuse of funds.
