Zarema Bagautdinova from "Pravozaschita" detained on suspicion of aiding and abetting militants, her advocate reports
Zarema Bagautdinova from the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy), who was brought on July 4 from Buynaksk to Makhachkala to give witness testimony, was detained on suspicion of aiding and abetting members of the armed underground. This was reported by her advocate.
In the morning of July 4, the detention of Zarema Bagautdinova was reported by her sister Burliyat. The house of the staff member of the organization "Pravozaschita" was also searched; however, according to the story of the detainee's sister, law enforcers found nothing illegal. The search warrant stated that the search was to be a part of investigation into the attack on the policemen committed on April 30, in which three persons were killed and two persons were injured.
Abdula Gaziev, an advocate of the Advocates' Bar "Kavkaz", Zarema Bagautdinova was detained, since Shamil Magomedov and Danyal Ilyasov, two detained residents of Buynaksk, allegedly testified against her.
The trial to choose the pre-trial restriction measure to Zarema Bagautdinova was scheduled for July 6.
Staff members of the Dagestani regional public organization "Pravozaschita" are confident of the innocence of Zarema Bagautdinova, and they believe that her detention was caused by her active human rights activity in Buynaksk and the Buynaksk District. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Aisha Selimkhanova, the representative of the organization "Pravozaschita".
