Yunus-Bek Evkurov: residents of "Promzhilbaza" have to leave it after Ramadan
People living in the temporary accommodation centre (TAC) "Promzhilbaza" in Karabulak were to release those buildings long time ago, since a social facility is planned to be constructed in the place. This was declared by Yunus-Bek Evkurov, the temporary acting leader of Ingushetia.
Meanwhile, representatives of the Ombudsman's office of Ingushetia and human rights activists hold consultations for residents of the TAC on the protection of housing rights. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Isa Daurbekov, the head of the Ombudsman's office of Ingushetia.
Let us remind you that, according to the decision of the Karabulak City Court, 35 residents of the TAC "Promzhilbaza" are to be evicted. On July 1, ten local residents went on hunger strike, demanding to issue housing certificates to all the families of immigrants living in the TAC. On July 6, after the visit of the Ingush leader, t he hunger strike was temporarily suspended.
"I again make you advances and for the last time let you to stay here till the end of the holy month of Ramadan; however, after it ends (after August 7, note of the "Caucasian Knot") you will have to leave the place. The authorities of Ingushetia have created good conditions for you the local budget allocates money every month to pay for rental housing. Many of you have already received housing certificates allowing you to improve your living conditions," the official website of Ingushetia quotes Yunus-Bek Evkurov as saying.
Yunus-Bek Evkurov has emphasized that refugees who wish to remain in the republic will continue to receive housing certificates provided by the federal programme. He has added that the neighbouring Chechnya created excellent conditions for return of its citizens.
