At rally in Sochi, Khosta residents demand to stop illegal construction

A rally against illegal construction held in Khosta was attended by about 120 persons. Participants of the protest action demanded to stop unauthorized construction, to stop destruction of parks and playgrounds and to take measures against officials, allowing unauthorized construction in the district.

Let us remind you that the rally against the construction, which local residents believe to be illegal, has been sanctioned. The protest action was organized by Igor Vasiliev, Assistant of Sergey Obukhov, a deputy of the State Duma.

At the opening of the rally, Igor Vasiliev has emphasized that he personally took the invitation to the head of administration of the Khosta District and deputies. "However, no one of them did come and report to the audience for their actions," Igor Vasiliev has noted.

The rally adopted a resolution, which expressed distrust to representatives of the executive authorities and law enforcement bodies.

The protestors have demanded that Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov should dismiss the head of the administration of the Khosta District, bring to strict liability the persons who issued permissions for the construction of facilities that violate the rights of citizens to a healthy environment, and to create a recreation and entertainment park in Khosta.
