NAC: people killed in Kabardino-Balkaria were preparing a series of terror acts
Four men, who were killed in the Baksan District of Kabardino-Balkaria, were preparing a series of terror acts in the republic, the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on July 18 the village of Islamey was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. Power agents blocked one of the houses and then killed four men in the armed skirmish.
According to the NAC, the people who were in the house, had been involved in a number of murders and attempted murders, including the attack on the employees of the patrol-and-post service on July 13, 2013, where two policemen were killed, says the NAC's website.
Let us note here that earlier the MIA of Kabardino-Balkaria had reported that the above attack was committed by three persons.
While examining the house, which had sheltered the militants, explosive experts found two submachine guns, a pistol with a silencer, a grenade, a large amount of ammunition and an improvised explosive device (IED) ready for use. Its power was more than 3 kg of TNT (trotyl) equivalent; it was neutralized by blowing up on the spot.
