In Dagestan, masked men tried to kidnap Vice-Chairman of Tourism Committee
Four masked men attacked Eldar Nazaraliev, the deputy chairman of the Committee on Tourism, and tried to kidnap him, said the spokesman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan.
The incident occurred at 11:10 p.m. Moscow time on July 19 on the bridge in the village of Sardarkent, Suleiman-Stalsky District of Dagestan.
As noted in the application filed by Eldar Nazaraliev with the police, four masked men at gunpoint hijacked his Mazda-6 car and disappeared.
On July 20, at 5:30 a.m., the burned-down car belonging to the Deputy Chairman of the Republic's Committee for Tourism was found by policemen at the 3rd km of the road "Khiv-Khuchni". The district was put under the plan "Vulcan-4", the website of the MIA reports today.
During the incident, the unknown assailants beat the official and tried to kidnap him; however, he managed to escape, said the MIA's spokesman.
"About midnight, near the village of Sardarkent, Suleiman-Stalsky District, four masked men kidnapped the Vice-Chairman of the Tourism Committee Nazaraliev. Later, he managed to escape," the RIA "Novosti" quotes its source from the MIA today.
