296 people fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus in the second quarter of 2013
According to calculations of the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources, at least 296 people suffered, in the second quarter of 2013, in the armed conflict ongoing in Northern Caucasus. Of them, 118 people were killed and at least 178 more were wounded.
The leader by the number of victims is the Republic of Dagestan, where at least 207 persons fell victim to the armed conflict during the period from April 1 to June 30 this year; of them, 86 people were killed and 121 more wounded. The casualties include 22 civilians, 23 power agents and 41 people involved, according to law enforcement officials, in the armed underground. The list of wounded persons includes 56 civilians, 62 power agents and three suspected militants.
In Ingushetia, in the second quarter of this year, at least 39 people suffered; of them 11 were killed and 28 more wounded.
The count of victims of the armed conflict in Chechnyaincludes at least 28 people, among them six people were killed and 22 others wounded.
In Kabardino-Balkaria, at least 19 people, including 13 casualties and six wounded, fell victim to the armed conflict.
In the Stavropol Territory in the second quarter of 2013 at least three people were victims of the armed conflict. The death toll includes a policeman and a suspect of attacking the police. Another policeman was wounded.
In the territory of Karachay-Cherkessia and the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, there were no victims in the second quarter of this year.
