In Makhachkala, about 20 people picket against violations of rights of persons under investigation

On July 24, about 20 people gathered in Rhodope Boulevard in Makhachkala to hold a picket against violations of defendants' rights. The action was organized by relatives of Magomed Piraev, an operative agent of the Kizilyurt ROVD (District Interior Division), who is accused of robbery.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that relatives of Piraev and other defendants in the case complained that the detainees were exposed to illegal methods of investigation, not allowed to meet their advocates and relatives.

Apart from Magomed Piraev's relatives, the action was attended by relatives and advocates of the residents of Makhachkala Gaziyav Djamaludinov, Abdulmuslim Magomedov and Sakhrab Abakargadjiev. All of them are figurants in the case of the armed assault on "black money collectors".

The action passed without disturbing the public order, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Piraev's relatives said they were also going to hold a picket on July 26 – the day of the Constitution of Dagestan, when celebrations are planned in Makhachkala.
