Advocate of resident of Dagestan suspected of killing Kamalov states power agents trying to force Shuaibov to slander high-ranking officials

Murad Shuaibov, detained in Dagestan, is suspected of killing Dagestani journalists Malik Akhmedilov and Gadjimurad Kamalov. According to his advocate, investigators are forcing his client to testify against high-ranking officials of Dagestan.

As reported by Ruslan Omarov, a member of the Bar "Omarov & Co.", who is representing the interests of Murad Shuaibov, he managed to meet his client in Pyatigorsk on July 16 and 18. During the meeting, Murad Shuaibov said that he had been forced to testify against the people well-known in Dagestan, in particular, against Said Amirov, the ex-Mayor of Makhachkala, Akhmed Chililov, the founder of the newspaper "Novoe Delo", Shamil Isaev, an MP of the People's Assembly of Dagestan, and Magomed Magomedov, Deputy Interior Minister of Dagestan. In particular, according to Murad Shuaibov, he is ordered to testify that he had killed Gadjimurad Kamalov at the direction of Amirov," Ruslan Omarov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Murad Shuaibov gave his statement to Omarov, claiming that he had been forced to testify against the MP Isaev and Deputy Minister Magomedov. Shuaibov himself does not admit his guilt and states that he had been forced to confess of killing journalists Akhmedilov and Kamalov under torture.
