In Makhachkala, relatives of missing persons rally against arbitrariness of secret services
On Sunday, in Makhachkala, a rally against tyranny of secret services was held. It was attended by about 100 persons, including relatives of Shamil Abdulaev and Shamil Kadyragaev, who were kidnapped on June 6. The relatives of the kidnapped persons claimed that law enforcers had been involved in kidnapping them.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, according to their relatives' story, in the afternoon, in a street in Makhachkala, young men were kidnapped by armed persons in masks. The law enforcement bodies have stated that they do not have the information that the young men could be detained by law enforcers.
Patimat Abdulkadyrova, the mother of Shamil Abdulaev, has stated that she had filed complaints to find out her son's whereabouts to such institutions as the Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the FSB, and Ramazan Abdulatipov, Acting President of Dagestan; however, she had not received any answer from them.
Eyewitnesses of the kidnapping have told the relatives that in the course of the kidnapping, the young men were wounded by the men in masks. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Sultanat Kadyragaeva, the mother of Shamil Magomedov. She believes that the young men were kidnapped by agents of secret services.
Participants of the rally have noted that they invited Acting President of Dagestan, Abdurashid Magomedov, Minister of Internal Affairs, Ummupazil Omarova, Ombudsperson in Dagestan, and Ramazan Shakhnavazov, Chief of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan, to come to the protest action.
Nelly Radjabova, Chairperson of the Union of Veterans "Motherland", believes that such a rally should be carried out in Lenin Square, where government buildings are located.
After the discussion, the participants of the protest action decided to hold their next protest in Lenin Square, if no results follow the today's rally.
