Armenia: court considering the fight near "Harsnaqar" Restaurant refuses to question additional witnesses
Today, the court has rejected the petition to invite ten additional witnesses and three experts, submitted by the suffered party in the case of a fight in the car park of the "Harsnaqar" Restaurant.
"Caucasian Knot" has reported that the suffered party in the case includes four military doctors and the successor of their colleague Vage Avetyan, who died after a fight on June 17, 2012, in a hospital. The defendants are a waiter and five securities of the restaurant. They deny any involvement in beating the doctors in the car park of the restaurant.
Today, the court has considered two motions; both lodged by the lawyer Tigran Egoryan, the representative of the successor of the deceased Vage Avetyan. The first motion asked to question 10 new additional witnesses, but that the court found it unreasonable.
The second Egoryan's motion asked to invite three neurosurgeons as experts for testifying. Judge David Arutyunyan has also rejected the motion, explaining that the neurosurgeons' testimonies are not necessary.
The next court session will be held on August 2 and continue the stage of submitting motions by the suffered party.
