Sitting on demolition of would-be mosque in Stavropol rescheduled for August 8

Today, the Court of Arbitration of the Stavropol Territory has held a session on the combined process dealing with the construction in process in Kulakov Avenue, where earlier employees of the city administration saw signs of a mosque. The trial was adjourned until July 8.

Let us remind you that on March 12 a lawsuit was sent to the Court of Arbitration on behalf of the Urban Planning Committee of the Stavropol Territory, demanding to demolish the unfinished facility in Kulakov Avenue. The lawsuit was grounded by the fact that a 3-meter-high floor was erected in the building without permission, which would thus be included into the total number of floors (two of them under the project). Later, the Stavropol City Planning Committee reported that the developer had eliminated all of the violations; and the authorities intend to waive their demand to demolish the building.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Valery Savchenko, the head of the Urban Committee of the Administration of Stavropol, on July 8, the court will examine the documents submitted by the parties concerning the subject matter of the dispute.

Let us note here that earlier Rasul Izhaev, the Deputy Mufti of the Stavropol Territory and Imam of Stavropol, stated that nobody had officially addressed the Muftiate about the construction of mosque on behalf of LLC "Extra".
