In Nevinnomyssk, detainee dies at detention facility
In the city of Nevinnomyssk of the Stavropol Territory, a detainee died in a ward of a detention facility of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). He was serving his 15-day administrative arrest.
The Chief Department of the MIA for the Stavropol Territory has reported that the deceased man was 53 years old. On July 25, he was detained under Article 20.21 of the Administrative Code (appearance in public places in a state of alcoholic intoxication) and was arrested by the court for 15 days.
"On August 4, the arrested man felt bad and began to choke. Policemen rendered him first aid and called an ambulance," explained officials from the Chief Department of the MIA.
According to the source, despite the measures taken, arrested died.
