In Krasnodar Territory, seven minor convicts cut their veins
As reported today by the Southern Investigating Department for Transport, seven juvenile offenders cut their veins when in a train in protest against their convoying from the Krasnodar SIZO (pre-trial prison) to the Belorechensk Juvenile Correctional Colony, where they had been kept earlier.
The convicts were sent by train to the Colony of Belorechensk on August 3. According to investigators, already at the moment of departure from the Krasnodar SIZO No. 1 they had blades of disposable razors with them.
In the morning on August 4, the train arrived in Armavir; and all the seven convicts by agreement cut their veins open. However, when the juveniles felt bad, they called the convoy and were rendered medical care, the website of the above Investigating Department reports.
According to the website, the minors did it in protest against return to the Juvenile Correctional Colony. They claim that they had witnessed a crime committed by the person serving his sentence in the Belorechensk Colony; and now they fear for their lives.
The Investigating Committee is conducting a check of the incident.
