In Nalchik, policeman, wounded at night, died in hospital
Today, a Senior Police Sergeant, who was wounded as a result of the attack on staff members of the DPS (patrol service of road police), committed last night in Nalchik, died at the hospital. This was reported by a representative of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Kabardino-Balkaria.
Today, at about 00:05 a.m. Moscow time, in Nalchik, unidentified persons opened fire on DPS staff members, and one of the law enforcers was wounded. Four persons were killed by return fire. According to the investigators' information, the number of the killed persons includes a leader of the underground of Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia.
The names of the persons killed in Nalchik have not yet officially announced. However, the "Life News" reports with reference to a source at the MIA of Kabardino-Balkaria that the persons killed in the fire fight were Khasanbi Fakov, Amir of the two republics, and Anzor Shaov, Khasan Kushkhov and Irina Artanova, a common-law wife of Khasanbi Fakov.
The wounded policeman was brought to the resuscitation ward of the hospital; however, doctors could not save him.
"At night, Arsen Shamparov, a 27-year-old Police Sergeant, died at the hospital from gunshot wounds to his chest," the agency "Interfax-Yug" quotes a representative of the press service of the MIA of Kabardino-Balkaria as saying.
The message posted on the website of the Kabardino-Balkarian MIA states that the DPS squad has been presented for granting of high state awards, and Arsen Shamparov has been presented for it posthumously.
