In Buynaksk, detained mosque parishioners released from police station

Law enforcers released without charge all parishioners of the Buynaksk mosque detained today. This was reported by a source at the city police.

Let us remind you that today, local residents reported that at night, armed men detained about 20 parishioners of Salafi mosque, who came to the night prayer.

A source at the Buynaksk GOVD (City Interior Division) confirmed the information about detention of about two dozen persons; however, the source did not explain the reason for their detention.

The parishioners of the mosque were detained not at the building, but when they went out into the street. This was clarified by a local mosque parishioner.

The parishioner told me that by 7 a.m., all detainees were released from the local police station, where they were brought to for verification of documents.

"All detained persons have been released, and no charges have been filed. At the police station, policemen behaved correctly, no one was offended or beaten," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the source at the Buynaksk GOVD.
