In Volgograd, opposition not rule out explosion connected with possible Vladimir Putin's visit to bike show
Investigators have not yet announced the versions of explosions committed in the Kirov and Voroshilov Districts of Volgograd. Local activists do not rule out that the explosions could be connected with possible visit of President Vladimir Putin to Volgograd to the bike show.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 7, an explosive device detonated at the service building of the separate DPS battalion of the Kirov District of Volgograd. No one suffered.
Leonid Makhinya, a representative of the Other Russia, suggests a possible connection of the incident with the planned arrival of Vladimir Putin in Volgograd.
"Most likely, the reason was not a disorderly conduct, but a social protest. I believe that the explosion could be connected with the planned arrival of Vladimir Putin in Volgograd to the bike show to be held on August 23," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Leonid Makhinya.
However, the representative of the Other Russia does not rule out the connection of the explosions with the recent searches carried out in the Pallasovka District. "Meanwhile, it is quite possible that was a protest action held by the Wahhabi underground. More recently, in the Pallasovka District, during a search, secret services agents found the prohibited Wahhabi literature at a local imam's place. Perhaps, it was a revenge of the radical people," Leonid Makhinya has stated.
