Unidentified persons threaten to kill Mufti of Stavropol Territory
The Pyatigorsk police started to search for the unidentified persons, who threatened to kill the Mufti of the Stavropol Territory.
On August 7, the Mufti of the Stavropol Territory appealed to the unit on duty of the Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Pyatigorsk with the information that he received the letter, the text of which contained a threat to kill him.
At present, the police have instituted the criminal case, and the operational activities are carried out to identify the authors of the letter. This was reported by the website of the Chief Department of the MIA for the StavropolTerritory.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported about the murder of a religious leader committed in the Stavropol Territory in 2012. On that day, February 13, in Pyatigorsk, Deputy Mufti Kurman Ismailov was killed in a car bombing. A bomb was activated under the Kurman Ismailov's car. The investigators considered revenge and extremist motives as possible causes of the murder.
