Mufti of Stavropol Territory complains to police about receiving threats
The Pyatigorsk Prosecutor's Office took control of the case of threats against Mukhammad Khadji Rakhimov, Mufti of the Stavropol Territory.
Let us remind you that on August 7, the Mufti of the Stavropol Territory appealed to the unit on duty of the Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Pyatigorsk with the information that he had received the letter, the text of which contained a threat to kill him. After that, the Pyatigorsk police instituted a criminal case.
During the preliminary inspection, the Prosecutor's Office of the city Pyatigorsk has revealed that in the evening of August 6, Mukhammad Khadji Rakhimov found in his mailbox a folded piece of paper with a picture of a target for shooting from firearms and his photo and the text with the threat.
In the centre of Rakhimov's photo, a cartridge, supposedly of 7.62 mm calibre, was inserted. The Pyatigorsk Prosecutor's Office acknowledged the resolution to institute criminal case to be lawful and justified. This was reported today by the website of the Prosecutor's Office for the Stavropol Territory.
The website of the MIA for the Stavropol Territory notes that the complainant made no requests to provide him with bodyguards.
