In the course of the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus, during the week from August 12 to August 18, 2013, at least 17 people suffered; of them 12 perished and five were wounded. These are the results of calculations made by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
The death toll includes one law enforcer from Chechnya, seven suspected members of the armed underground – all from Dagestan, and four civilians – three in Dagestan and one in Karachay-Cherkessia.
Let us note here that the presented statistics cannot reflect, with absolute precision, the count of victims. Not all data gets into news reports; and it is not always possible to check the veracity of the statements issued by law enforcement bodies.
