Vladimir Putin nominates Ramazan Abdulatipov, Malik Bagliev, and Ummupazil Omarova for position of leader of Dagestan

Russian President Vladimir Putin has nominated Ramazan Abdulatipov, Malik Bagliev, and Ummupazil Omarova for the consideration by the Parliament of Dagestan for the position of the leader of the republic. This was reported by the Kremlin's press service.

On September 8, the issue on the election of the leader of Dagestan will be considered at the extraordinary session of the National Assembly of Dagestan.

Let us remind you that earlier, a representative of the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party announced that at the preliminary consultations, the Party proposed a number of candidates for consideration, including Ramazan Abdulatipov, Acting President of Dagestan. The candidacy of Malik Bagliev, the former Chairman of the Account Chamber of Dagestan, Minister of Labour and Social Development of Dagestan, was on the list of candidates from the "Patrioty Rossii" (Patriots of Russia) Party.

Ummupazil Omarova, Ombudsperson in Dagestan, was nominated for the position of the leader of the republic by the "Pravoe Delo" Party, the "Kommersant" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ramazan Abdulatipov led Dagestan starting from January 28, 2013, when the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of Magomedsalam Magomedov from the position of the leader of Dagestan.
