Five suspected militants killed in Buynaksk
In Buynaksk, as a result of the special operation, five persons were killed, and a law enforcer was wounded. This was reported by sources in the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.
In the morning of August 20, in a private house located in Ostrovsky Street in Buynaksk, a group of suspected militants was blocked. They refused to surrender and opened fire on law enforcers.
"The militants were blocked in one of the apartments of a two-storey house. Five members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) were killed, including the owner of the house," the RIA "Novosti" quotes a source in the law enforcement bodies as saying.
The active phase of the special operation has been completed, and there is one of the leaders of the armed underground among the killed persons. This was reported by the "Interfax" with reference to the source in the law enforcement bodies. The "Interfax" reports that, according to the preliminary information, during the shooting, a staff member of the OMON (riot police) was wounded.
