Dagestani resident claims her son being pressed by law enforcers
Aiman Salikhova, a resident of the village of Mutsalaul of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, has claimed that law enforcement bodies put pressure upon her younger son Nurula Nurulaev, whose elder brothers are suspected of involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs).
On August 12, Aiman Salikhova, a resident of the Khasavyurt District, filed an appeal to the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy). This was explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a representative of the human rights organization.
According to the appeal, on August 10, "three policemen in black clothes and masks came to conduct a search" in the house of Aiman Salikhova.
"The policemen found nothing illegal during the search; however, they did not leave us a copy of the search protocol. Before they left, they took a laptop with them, and they also wanted to take my son with them; however, my husband did not allow doing that," the woman writes in her appeal.
According to the version of Aiman Salikhova, her two eldest sons "were forced to go to forest because of persecution and torture of law enforcers."
The woman asks the human rights defenders to stop the persecution from law enforcement bodies in respect to her family members and restore their violated rights.
Officials from the Khasavyurt ROVD (District Interior Division) have confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent the information about conducted searches. They have noted that "everything was done within the law." "No pressure is put upon the family members," a policeman from the OVD has added.
