Bodies of persons killed in special operation in Buynaksk not given out to their relatives, mother of killed person asserts

The bodies of the persons killed during the special operation carried out on August 20 in the Dagestani city of Buynaksk were not given out to relatives for burial. This was stated by mother of one of the killed persons.

On August 20, at about 6:00 p.m., the active phase of the special operation was completed. Then, law enforcers started to examine ruins of the house. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a policeman of the Buynaksk GOVD (City Interior Division). "Initially, we found bodies of nine militants; however, on August 21, during the additional examination of the house, we found one more body. Identification of the killed militants is underway," the policeman has said.

Let us remind you that on August 21, a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan reported that five persons out of the number of killed militants had been preliminary identified. Their number includes Bammatkhan Sheikhov (according to the law enforcers' information, he was the leader of the "Buynaksk" terrorist grouping), Shamil Mukhumaev, Khan Karanaev, and Gadji Magomedov.

Meanwhile, the "Caucasian Knot" was told by the mother of one of the killed persons, who preferred to remain anonymous, that the bodies of the killed persons had not yet been given out to their relatives for burial. "Perhaps, they will give the bodies out when they complete the procedure for the identification of all killed persons," the woman has suggested.

She believes that the number of the killed persons whose bodies have not yet been identified could include Rustam, an owner of the house located in Ostrovsky Street, where a counterterrorist operation (CTO) was carried out.
