In Dagestan, militants acknowledge that Bammatkhan Sheikhov was killed in special operation in Buynaksk

Bammatkhan Sheikhov, the leader of the Buynaksk grouping, was really killed during the special operation in Buynaksk held on August 20. This was reported by the information resources supporting Dagestani militants.

One of the websites that support the Dagestani militants has confirmed that Bammatkhan Sheikhov referred to by the report as "Amir Bammatkhan" was killed. According to the information of the website, together with him, eight other persons, including an owner of the house and a teenager, were killed.

The website has also published audio record of telephone conversations of persons allegedly blocked in the house in place of the battle. In one audio record, a man talks to his child and to his wife and says he cannot understand how law enforcers found them and suggests that detained militants could possibly tell the law enforcers about the other fighters. In another audio record, a man says goodbye to his family members and encourages them to follow his example. During the conversation, one can hear the sounds of shooting and exploding shells.
