NAC: person killed in Buynaksk identified as Zaur Umarov
A person who was killed in a shootout with the police that occurred in Buynaksk was identified as Zaur Umarov. This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC). According to the NAC's information, the victim was a bomber of the "Buynaksk" grouping.
Let us remind you that in the evening of September 1, in Buynaksk, unidentified persons shelled a police squad. A policeman was wounded, and one of the attackers was killed.
According to the NAC's information, the shelling began, when policemen tried to check the documents of two persons. The killed person was identified during the preliminary identification. He was Zaur Umarov, born in 1987. This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee.
"Earlier, he was an accomplice of the bandit underground, and in last October, he 'went to the forest' and he was put on the federal wanted list. According to the information of the operational headquarters of the NAC for the Republic of Dagestan (RD), in the 'Buynaksk' bandit grouping, Zaur Umarov was a specialist of demolition works, and many people were killed because of his activities," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the NAC's report as stating.
