On September 1, over 2000 visited terror act venue in Beslan

On September 1, more than 2000 persons came to pay tribute to the memory of the victims of terror act in Beslan School No. 1, where nine years ago plenty of hostages were captured. The school was visited not only by local residents, but also by visitors from neighbouring regions.

During the whole day of September 1, the school No. 1 in Beslan held a requiem service for the deceased persons. 334 candles, for the number of persons killed in the terror act, were lit in the school yard.

Residents of Beslan did not speak much, and women and men who came to the school did not hide their tears. They say that, 9 years after the tragedy, they cannot forget about the terror act committed at the school.

"People have become more violent than they used to prior the terror act. People cannot forget that tragedy. No one of my relatives fell victim to that tragedy; however, I cannot forget those three days that I had experienced for my neighbours, acquaintances, and friends. Every day brings pain for us. We cannot forget that," the "Caucasian Knot" was told by a woman, a resident of Beslan, who preferred to remain anonymous.

A present, the Temple of the Beslan school infants is under construction in the school yard. Officials from the administration of the Pravoberezhny District have reported that it will be ready in 2014 to mark the tenth anniversary of the terror act.
