Two more of five casualties of special operation in Derbent identified, says a source
Two more persons out of the total five killed in a special operation in Derbent have been pre-identified; among them – the wife of the killed Sharif Akhmedov, the head of the armed grouping, said a source from the Dagestani law enforcement bodies.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the special operation began at night. According to power agents, the militants blocked in the house, including a suspect of committing the terror act in the village of Khuchni on September 23, refused to surrender and opened fire. The active phase of the special operation was over by about 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
According to the source, the woman killed during the operation was identified as Dinara Eskendorova. "Her third husband was Akhmedov; and her two previous husbands were also militants and were also killed," the "Interfax" quotes a law enforcement official as saying.
He explained that another member of the armed grouping – Milan Navusov, a resident of Derbent, born in 1979, – has been pre-identified. He joined the armed underground in May 2012 and was suspected of a number of violent terror acts.
Let us note here that Sharif Akhmedov, the leader of Derbent militants, had been identified earlier. Only in Derbent, in the last two years, more than 20 terrorist crimes were committed with his direct participation.
