Chechnya drops minimum subsistence level by 100-150 roubles for all categories
The new minimum subsistence level for residents of Chechnya, set by the Government of Chechnya on October 2, has been reduced in average by 100-150 roubles for all categories of the population. This was reported by a representative of the Ministry of Labour of Chechnya.
"The average minimum subsistence level per capita will be 7312 roubles," said a source from the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Development of Chechnya.
The level of the minimum subsistence level had virtually no effect on the population. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a leader of a local NGO who preferred to remain anonymous.
"In our republic, social support to large or poor families is provided not in full. For example, in some regions of the Russian Federation, families with three children receive a monthly allowance of 7000 roubles. In our republic, the assistance is promised only to families with eight and more children. Pensions are a separate issue. It is actually impossible to get it legally. Most people have to give considerable bribes to get at least average pension," a local resident has stated.
