In Makhachkala, five persons detained on suspicion of disobeying police, one of them wounded

Tonight, in Makhachkala, five men were detained, and one of them wounded. The detainees rendered resistance to policemen, and as a result, one of the law enforcers had to use firearm. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan.

The incident occurred in front of the billiard club at about 1:00 a.m., during the operation to detain a wanted resident of Makhachkala, born in 1990. The wanted man was accompanied by four persons.

According to the law enforcers' information, the men rendered resistance to law enforcers and inflicted bodily harm to a representative of criminal investigation department. They also tried to take away a service firearm of a policeman, so he started shooting and wounded one of the attackers. This was reported by the website of the Dagestani MIA.

The use of firearm by the policeman was recognized as lawful. A traumatic pistol was found with one of the detainees. The MIA's officials consider the detainees' actions as disobedience to the police and attack on them.
