KBR's Health Ministry refutes information of Prosecutor's Office about illegal health facilities
All the public health facilities of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) have their due licenses, said Lilia Shomakhova, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Health of the KBR. According to her story, after the Prosecutor's Office had identified cases of lack of licenses, these institutions were duly licensed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, according to the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic, during a check of the blood transfusion station they established that donors' blood had been issued to organizations, not licensed for medical activities.
Besides, the Office explained that, in particular, the KBR's Oncology Dispensary had no license for blood transfusion activities. Based on the check outcomes, the Prosecutor's Office of Nalchik made a presentation to chief physicians of the blood transfusion station and the dispensary about their disciplinary responsibility for violations, said the website of the Prosecutor's Office of the KBR.
As explained by Lilia Shomakhova, prosecutors revealed only two medical facilities, which at that time were not licensed to render the services related to blood transfusion "because of strict requirements for this type of medical service."
