Power supply restored to apartment buildings in Kirov District of Volgograd
The accident in the power grid of the Kirov District of the city has been eliminated, said Valery Taranov, the head of the press service of the Volgograd Branch of the Power Company "MRSK Yuga".
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that apartments of more than 500 residents of two apartment houses of the Kirov District of Volgograd had problems with power supply since October 2. Power engineers said that the reason for failure was in the excessive load on the worn-out power grid.
"Because of absence of centralized heating, tenants were forced to use plenty of electric heaters, which caused an overload of the grid," Valery Taranov explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent the cause of the accident.
"The accident was eliminated in the evening on Sunday, October 6," said Valery Taranov.
