Election in Azerbaijan is accompanied by large-scale violations, says oppositional candidate
Jamil Gasanli, the presidential candidate from the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF), has stated mass violations of the law during today's voting at the ongoing election.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the voting started on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. Baku time.
Jamil Gasanli made his statement about the voting around 11:20 a.m. Baku time, after he has voted at the 6th polling station of the 17th Third Yasamal Constituency. He pointed to violations that accompanied, according to his version, the election process.
"At some polling stations, cases of mass ballot throw-in were fixed. There are many other violations; and our electoral office has issued six press releases. Unfortunately, many state officials are involved in the frauds, becoming accomplices of the gravest state crime – usurpation of power. If this continues, the legitimacy of the election will be put under doubt," said Gasanli.
Let us remind you that in total 21 candidates were nominated; 10 of them were registered.
