Dagestani prosecutors ask court to invalidate permits to build houses near "Russian Cemetery"
The Prosecutor's Office of the capital of Dagestan requests to declare the multi-storey buildings constructed near the "Russian Cemetery" unauthorized buildings and to oblige developers to demolish them. The court considers claims filed by the Prosecutor's Office to recognize as non-compliant to the law the resolutions issued by the Mayor of Makhachkala that permitted construction of apartment buildings in the land plots in question.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the inspection carried out by the Prosecutor's Office revealed that the apartment buildings are being constructed in the land plots in Gadjiev Street in Makhachkala in violation of the requirements of the land and urban planning laws.
According to the information of Madina Gadjimuradova, Senior Assistant Prosecutor of Makhachkala, the Prosecutor's Office received a lot of complaints from citizens and public organizations of Dagestan and other regions of the country, in which people expressed their protest against the construction of residential house in the neighbourhood of the "Russian Cemetery".
However, the decisions of the Kirov District Court upheld by the appeal institution dismissed the claims filed by the Prosecutor's Office. On October 4, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Dagestan (RD) challenged the above court decisions at the appeal institution of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Dagestan, said the source.
