Seven Georgian cities host protest action "Stop Annexation"

In seven cities of Georgia, students held a peaceful protest action "Stop Annexation". Participants of the protest action accused Russia of occupying parts of Georgia.

The protest action, during which the students lined up for fifteen minutes in the "human chains", was attended by 500 students, who gathered in Tbilisi, Rustavi, Telavi, Gori, Batumi, Kutaisi, and Zugdidi.

"The protest action was planned in social networks, and we would like to see more and more people attending it. Similar protest actions will be held in the future, and we would like it to involve general population," journalists were told by Givi Ugulava, a participant of the protest action in Tbilisi.

The protest action is of demonstrative nature. This was stated by Georgy Khvedelidze, one more participant of the Tbilisi protest action. "Our main task is to show the international community that, in terms of the assistance they render us, the majority of the population of the country protest against the occupation carried out by Russia," he has stressed.
