Body of businessman, searched by slain Vishernev, found in Abkhazia

In the Abkhaz village of Adzyubzha, Ochamchira District, the bodies of a missing businessman Sergey Klemantovich and his girlfriend Oksana Skarednova have been found, said the republic's General Prosecutor's Office (GPO). The Russian diplomat Dmitry Vishernev, who was killed in September in Sukhumi, had been engaged in searching Klemantovich.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Sergey Klemantovich, Director General of the "EL-Petroleum-Abkhazia", disappeared in the fall of 2012, along with his girlfriend, under unclear circumstances. The Sukhumi Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case in this context under the article of "murder". In Abkhazia, Klemantovich was engaged in buying and processing scraps of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

The businessman and his girlfriend were killed and their bodies were then dropped into a well. Four residents of Abkhazia have been detained on suspicion of this double murder, the "Interfax" reports referring to the above GPO.

Let us remind you that the vice-consul Dmitry Vishernev, the first secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Abkhazia, was killed on September 9 in Sukhumi. Vishernev was unofficially searching Klemantovich, which could become, according to investigators, one of the reasons for his murder.
