In Sochi, Kudepsta residents demand to repair the road
Today, an initiative group of residents of the Sochi neighbourhood of Kudepsta has sent a protocol of a public meeting to the city authorities, demanding to repair the three-kilometre road running to the Khosta micro-district.
The above public meeting, which was attended by over a hundred residents of Kudepsta, was held on October 12 in the yard of No. 54 in Iskra Street.
For two years already, "teams of builders are digging, laying some pipes and networks, break the road with heavy trucks; and then they go away, forgetting to put everything in proper order," Igor Vasiliev, the chairman of the Territorial Public Self-Government (known as TOS) "Kudepsta", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Under the territorial programme, about 20 million roubles had been allocated for major repairs of the road, said Leonid Khvorov, another member of the TOS.
"The money is there, but we see no repairs. Residents are particularly concerned about rainwater runoffs, which are not budgeted enough and are unable to cope with the volume of water during the rainy season; and about the walkways that disappeared altogether," he said.
The protocols of the meeting were sent to the administration of the city, as well as to the administrations of the Khosta and Adler Districts.
