Police suspect native of Azerbaijan of killing Biryulyovo resident
The Moscow police suspect a native of Azerbaijan of the murder of Yegor Scherbakov, a resident of Biryulyovo. This was reported by the Chief Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Russian Federation for Moscow.
"The suspect is Orkhan Zeinalov Zakhit Ogly, a native of Azerbaijan, born in 1982," the RIA "Novosti" quotes a source at the press service of the Chief Department of the Russian MIA for Moscow.
The suspected murderer of Yegor Scherbakov is wanted in Azerbaijan on suspicion of having committed a similar crime. This was stated by Anatoly Yakunin, the head of the Chief Department of the Russian MIA for Moscow.
The murder of Yegor Scherbakov, a resident of Western Biryulyovo, has sparked protests in Moscow on October 13, and later the protest grew into riots. Residents of the Moscow District of Western Biryulyovo, who held a gathering, demanded to solve the murder as soon as possible and to eliminate the local vegetable storage warehouse, which employs migrants mostly and where, in the opinion of the local residents, the criminal is hiding. The people's gathering eventually turned into riots, and, as a result, more than 380 persons were detained.
