In Kirov Region, law enforcers detain natives of Northern Caucasus suspected of preparing terror act
Two natives of Northern Caucasus are suspected of preparing a terror act at the plant for destruction of chemical weapons located in the Kirov Region. They were detained, and the question of their arrest is under consideration. This was reported by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
In the town of Kotelnich, in one of the forsaken houses, investigators found a hiding with components to manufacture the improvised explosive devices, which, according to the law enforcers' version, the criminals planned to use for the terror act.
The investigating bodies of the Kirov Region instituted a criminal case against the criminals under Part 1 of Article 30 and Paragraph "a" of Part 3 of Article 205 (preparation for a terror act) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to the investigators' information, the detainees are followers of Wahhabism and arrived in the Kirov Region from Moscow.
According to the information of the press service of the FSB Department for Kirov, the followers of Wahhabism planned to commit a terror act at the facility for storage and destruction of chemical weapons "Maradykovsky". After the completion of the preparation to the terror act, the detainees planned to go abroad to one of the camps of international terrorist organizations to get skills of subversive activities.
