NAC: detained suspects of plotting terror acts in Ingushetia give confessions
Law enforcement bodies have prevented a series of terror acts in Ingushetia, scheduled during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bayram). As reported by the Russia's National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC), four persons have been detained on suspicion of plotting terror acts.
On October 16, after receiving information about planned terror acts during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha in Ingushetia, the villages of Yandare and Ekazhevo in the Nazran District and a part of the city of Magas were put, by the decision of the republic's operative headquarters, under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime.
"Special forces of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) blocked seven addresses – in the republic's capital Magas and in Ekazhevo and Yandare – of possible location of the bandits. During the negotiations, held by the NAC's operative headquarters, four residents of Ingushetia were persuaded to give up armed resistance – they were detained," the "Interfax" quotes the message of the NAC.
According to the Committee, the four detainees give confessions. A bomb with the power of 18 kilos of TNT (trotyl) equivalent was found in the house.
