Yerevan: NGO named "Following Ancestors' Footsteps" comes out against "gender" law
In Yerevan, the NGO "Following Ancestors' Footsteps" has organized a march against "gender perversion", which was attended by about a hundred people. They demanded from the authorities to review the decision to adopt the Law "On Ensuring Equal rights and Opportunities for Men and Women" and recall it.
The opponents of the law held posters reading: "We are against gender law!", "No to national treason!" and "Armenian nation is against gender law!"
They marched from the monument to Tamanyan to the government building, where they handed over their petition to the Government of Armenia, in which they "hope for a common sense approach to the issue."
Khachik Stambultsyan, the chairman of the Union "Christians against numbering people", is confident that the above Law will lead to adoption of many other similar bills, which will ruin the country.
He believes that the adoption of the Law "On Ensuring Equal rights and Opportunities for Men and Women" will be followed by a special law "On Gender" in order to legitimate same-sex marriages.
