In Sochi, builders of Media Centre complain to police about non-payment of wages
Seven builders who worked at the construction of the Media Centre of the Sochi Olympics have filed a complaint to the police about non-payment of their wages by the employer. According to the builders' complaint, in total, the contracting company owes wages of hundred workers.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 17, Roman Kuznetsov, a member of the team of workers involved in the construction of the Olympic Media Centre in the coastal cluster, sewed his mouth to protest against non-payment of wage by the employer.
"36-year-old Roman Kuznetsov has two minor children. The company has failed to pay the wages for the whole team of seven workers. Meanwhile, the employer has started to threaten with eviction from dormitories, since they brought other builders to replace us," this was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a Roman Kuznetsov's colleague, who preferred to remain anonymous.
According to the report of Semyon Simonov, a coordinator of the reception of the network "Migration and Law", the team of workers has filed a complaint to the Blinovo police against the fact of non-payment of their wages.
"Till present, we cannot reveal, for whom exactly the builders worked and who should pay for the work done. The situation is complicated by the fact that the builders have no contracts of employment," the coordinator of the network "Migration and Law" has commented on the situation.
