Sochi court marshals evict Toromonyan family
On Wednesday, court marshals began evicting the members of the Toromonyan family out of their house No. 33 in Sanatornaya Street. Some of them felt bad and called an ambulance; also a police unit was called to the venue, the members of the family with many children have reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the land plot, where the Toromonyans' house is located, is alienated under the court ruling for building an Olympic facility – the alternate highway to Kurortny Avenue. The city administration believes that the larger part of the above land plot (its total area is 0.23 ha) is municipal property. On October 15, court marshals demanded that the members of the family abandon the house.
"Currently, the court has our application asking to suspend the eviction, since one of the owners – Karapet Toromonyan – is in hospital, while his belongings are in the house," Nina Toromonyan has explained.
However, according to the tenants, force is applied to them. The court marshals are driving the people out of the house and off the yard, so that the builders could begin the demolition of the household.
The court marshals are fulfilling the court ruling, said one of them Sergey Kharlanov.
Let us note here that the law establishing the procedure for land acquisition for the construction of Olympic facilities in Sochi was passed by the Russian State Duma in June 2008. Initially, Russian authorities had claimed that the land plots for the construction of Olympic facilities for the 2014 Games in Sochi would be bought out at market prices, or their owners would be provided with equal plots in other places.
