Ministry of Public Health of the Russian Federation: terror act in Volgograd injured 55 people, including 20 children
According to latest reports, the terror act in Volgograd has affected 55 people; of them, 27 persons are still in Volgograd hospitals; and four are being treated in Moscow, said the press service of the Ministry of Public Health of Russia.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 21 an explosion was triggered in a bus in Volgograd. According to investigators, a suicide bombing was committed by Naida Asiyalova, a native of Dagestan. As a result, seven people were killed.
According to the above ministry, on October 22, four victims were brought to Moscow and hospitalized at the Burn Centre of the A. V. Vishnevsky Surgery Institute and the Priorov Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics.
Currently, six patients – four in Moscow and two in Volgograd – are in grave condition.
According to Ekaterina Golod, the head of the press service of the Governor of the Volgograd Region, every victim will receive 20,000 roubles from the Social Security Fund. Each family of the casualties will receive 1 million roubles from the regional budget. Those heavily wounded will receive 400,000 roubles each; those moderately wounded – 100,000 roubles. The respective lists are prepared by the Regional Ministry of Public Health.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that two of the casualties of the terror act in Volgograd were pupils of Vocational-Technical School No. 26.
