In Derbent lawyer could not meet his client for five hours, detainee's relatives assert
Rinat Gadjiev, a resident of Derbent, who was detained on Saturday, could see his advocate only after a repeated address to the public prosecutor, says his relative.
According his relative, Rinat Gadjiev was detained on Saturday in the vicinity of the Derbent Cognac Factory. Initially, the Derbent GOVD (City Interior Division) denied Gadjiev's detention whatsoever. Later, the on duty unit of the GOVD confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Rinat Gadjiev had been brought there; however, as of 5:40 p.m., the advocate was not admitted to him.
To defend Rinat Gadjiev's interests, his relatives signed a contract with the lawyer Murad Magomedov.
So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of the advocate or the GOVD on the reasons for the detention of Rinat Gadjiev, as well as on the fact of non-admission of the advocate to the detainee.
