Insurance company to pay some 30 million roubles to victims of terror act in Volgograd

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt at the Volgograd Branch of the MSK (Moscow Insurance Company) Insurance Group that the amount of payments to victims of the terror act in Volgograd may make about thirty million roubles.

Let us remind you that the suicide attack in Volgograd wounded 55 people, including 20 children. Seven people were killed, including the female bomber; and 31 persons were taken to hospitals in Volgograd and Moscow with traumas of various gravity.

According to Governor of the Volgograd Region Sergey Bozhenov, the families of the casualties will receive one million roubles each, those seriously injured – 400,000 roubles each; and those slightly affected – 100,000 roubles each. Besides, through social protection, all those affected will be paid 20 thousand roubles.

The carrier had insured his liability to passengers in accordance with the Federal Law No. 67 "On mandatory insurance of civil liability of the carrier for the damage caused to life, health or property of the passengers", said Vladimir Batov, Director of the above MSK Branch.

"We agree with the estimates given by market experts in open sources; the total amount of payments could amount to about 30 million roubles," said Batov.
