In Narimanov, Astrakhan Region, rally against illegal migration was 50 strong
A sanctioned rally "against giving out citizenship" was organized in the city of Narimanov, Astrakhan Region, by the Astrakhan Regional Public Association (ARPA) "Otchizna" (Fatherland) and the People's Patriotic Movement (PPM) "Russians of Astrakhan" with the support of activists of the Youth Association of Astrakhan "Young Russia". The event held in one of the city squares was attended by about 50 people.
As stated by the organizers, the rally was aimed at attracting the public attention to the migration situation in the region; the activists collected signatures to the legislative initiative of granting the Astrakhan Region with the status of a pre-border territory.
Nikolai Kirsanov, the leader of the "Fatherland", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the population of the Astrakhan Region is highly concerned about the migration issues.
"In Western Europe, the authorities have already recognized the ineffectiveness of national policies; they are finally losing the cultural and national identities. We need to stop both external and internal mass migration. Making Astrakhan Region a pre-border territory will eliminate the crime and take control over migration flows," said Nikolai Kirsanov.
