ICRF: car that brought Makhachkala bombers around found
As a result of two explosions triggered in Dakhadaev Street in Makhachkala, according to preliminary data of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation, 18 people were injured, one of them died. Investigators found the VAZ-2114 car which the bombers had used.
According to the Russia's National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), the two bombs were blown up near two stores in the city centre.
"It has been established that two explosive devices were triggered near the stores: initially, the first one was triggered; then, after people gathered in the venue, the second one was actuated," a source from the local MIA told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The "Gazeta.ru" writes citing an eyewitness that both explosions were organized by the same person.
In particular, the eyewitness said that an unidentified man threw bags with explosive devices into both stores. "A man ran in with a bag in his hand and gave 30 seconds for people to leave the premises," the edition quotes.
