KChR's MIA reports detention of suspects of kidnapping Nauruz Cherkasov

As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR), four persons have been detained as suspects of committing grave crimes, including the kidnapping of entrepreneur Nauruz Cherkasov.

Let us remind you that the 46-year-old Nauruz Cherkasov was kidnapped on August 31 on the highway Stavropol-Cherkessk. Masked unidentified men took him away in a black Volkswagen car equipped with special signals and tinted windshields.

The four detainees are the members of an organized grouping, which was involved, according to law enforcers, in murders, abductions, robberies, extortions and arms trafficking, committed in the territory of the KChR and North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD).

The today's message, posted on the website of the MIA of the KChR, says that based on detainees' testimonies and results of operative-search actions, three more active members of the grouping are searched.

Let us remind you that on October 29 relatives of Nauruz Cherkasov held a picket in the central square of Cherkessk with a demand to find and punish the perpetrators.
