In Tuapse, ecologist Evgeny Vitishko released from police

Evgeny Vitishko, a member of the Board of the ecological organization "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus", who was detained in Tuapse, was released by the police. This was reported by activists from the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus".

Let us remind you that on Monday, policemen twice stopped the car driven by Evgeny Vitishko for check, and after the second stop, he was brought to the police station in Tuapse. For the first time, inspectors of the GIBDD (road police) have stated the driver of the vehicle had committed a road traffic accident and fled the place of the accident. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" by the activists from the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus".

According to the activists, the police have explained the reason for the detention by the fact that Evgeny Vitishko had allegedly violated the regime of restrictions imposed on him in connection with his conditional sentence, for which he was convicted in the case of damage to the fence at the summer cottage of Alexander Tkachov, Governor of Kuban.

Let us remind you that in summer of 2012, the court sentenced Evgeny Vitishko together with Suren Gazaryan, an activist of the ecological organization, to three years of conditional imprisonment for damage to the fence around the so-called "summer cottage of Alexander Tkachov, Governor of Kuban."
